About the Author

Masashi Kishimoto is a Japanese manga artist and writer. He is best known for his popular manga series Naruto, which has sold over 250 million copies worldwide and has been adapted into a successful anime series and several films.

Kishimoto was born in Okayama Prefecture, Japan. He began drawing at a young age, and his early influences included Akira Toriyama, Osamu Tezuka, and Hirohiko Araki.

In 1999, Kishimoto created Naruto as a one-shot manga for the Japanese magazine Akamaru Jump. The one-shot was well-received, and Kishimoto was given the opportunity to serialize Naruto in Weekly Shōnen Jump. Naruto became a huge success, and it ran for 15 years, ending in 2014.

After Naruto ended, Kishimoto launched a new manga series called Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. Boruto is a sequel to Naruto, and it follows the adventures of Naruto's son, Boruto Uzumaki. Boruto is also a successful manga and anime series.

Kishimoto is a highly respected and influential manga artist. He has won numerous awards for his work, including the Kodansha Manga Award and the Harvey Award. He has also been inducted into the Eisner Hall of Fame.
